MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital is a full-service, 93-bed, not-for-profit hospital in Brunswick, ME and is part of MaineHealth, a not-for-profit integrated health system with the vision, “Working together so our communities are the healthiest in America.” Mid Coast Hospital is a 93-bed community, non-profit hospital with an active medical staff of over 200 physicians serving a population of over 80

,000 area residents. Mid Coast Hospital offers inpatient services such as a 24-hour Emergency Department, ICU, Medical/Surgical/Pediatrics, Behavioral Health unit, and a separate Women's Health Care unit concentrating on childbirth at its Maternity Care Center and Gynecological Services center. Outpatient services include Day Surgery, Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging (including the most advanced CT, PET scans and MRI), Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, and a Hearing Center. 🎉 Congratulations to Mary, RN IV, of the surgical care operating room team, recipient of the 2026 Nursing Excellence Award at MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital.

Mary was recognized for her exceptional leadership, clinical expertise and compassionate care for both patients and colleagues. Known as a trusted resource nurse and dedicated team member, she consistently goes above and beyond to support those around her.

One powerful example highlighted during the nomination process was Mary volunteering to come in during off hours to assist with a rare and complex organ donation case — helping support both the care team and the patient’s family during an incredibly difficult moment.

Mary was honored during a special ceremony held May 7 in the Mid Coast Hospital Healing Garden, surrounded by colleagues, fellow nominees and family.

Thank you, Mary, for the extraordinary care, professionalism and compassion you bring to our patients and teams every day. 💙

Two doses of the MMR vaccine is 97% effective against measles and generally provides lifelong immunity. Getting both doses, recommended at 12-15 months and 4-6 years old, gives you the best protection and helps stop the spread of measles in our communities.

Construction is continuing at MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital as part of the new Cancer Care Center project - bringing comprehensive cancer care services together under one roof.

Early next week, crews will begin pouring the foundation for the linear accelerator vault at 81 Medical Center Drive. This work is expected to start Tuesday morning around 7:00 a.m. and will involve approximately 20 truckloads of concrete.

• Traffic delays along Medical Center Drive
• Heavier activity near the entrance to 81 Medical Center Drive
