Update on Dean David

Dean David got to see so many fireworks and we still have the firework show where we live on Friday!

Dean David has had such a great time going to 3 fireworks shows and having a family firework evening with the great grandma and grandma!

I have so many photos that I’m working on editing to posting! ❤️🤍💙

Update on Dean David

On Saturday me and Dean David had a great time watching the Bryan, Ohio fireworks. Dean David is obsessed with fireworks he has been talking about them for weeks and watching them on YouTube On Sunday we went and picked up some fireworks for us to shoot off this weekend he is so excited!

Update on Dean David

In April I had surgery and while I was recovering I almost died and was in and out of the hospital my sister took Dean David to the children hospital for his Re-jection treatment. I was very upset that I couldn’t be there because of my health but I know he was very well taken care of by my sister. They had to poke him so many time because they couldn’t get his blood work. They finally got a second IV in and were able to get it that way. They weren’t able to start his first treatment till 3 am the first night which held up the treatment but they were able to come home the next day! I’m very grateful for my sister being able to take Dean David to the hospital for us!

Update on Dean David

It been a rough time for Dean David he has a hydrocele and will have to have surgery. He has been in a great deal of pain but the fluid has finally gone back down. They are going to see him in August which is way to far away but we’re looking it to other options. Dean David did very good at the hospital I had to take him to 2 different hospitals to find one that could do an ultrasound. We’re hoping that it will not swell again and we can get him into see the surgeon.

A hydrocele (HI-droe-seel) is a type of swelling in the sc***um, the pouch of skin that holds the testicles. This swelling happens when fluid collects in the thin sac that surrounds a testicle. Hydroceles are common in newborns. They often go away without treatment by age 1. Older children and adults can get a hydrocele due to an injury within the sc***um or other health problems.

Dean David had to have one of the packs of streamers and he made a game out of it!

(And yes my Christmas tree is still up against my will Dean David cries every time I start to take it down and I can’t do it to him. I guess we’ll have a Christmas tree all year now.!)

Update on Dean David

I truly can’t believe how far Dean David has come in the last few months.

As many of you know, Dean David spent a long time in the hospital and has some developmental delays. His talking in the last couple of months has come so far he went from saying single words to saying full sentences overnight. I wanted to share this video with you guys. Dean David likes to sit at the kitchen table at night and work on our cards right now we’re working on numbers.

Update on Dean David

Today Dean David is having dental surgery the Anti- rejection medicines have destroyed his teeth. It’s taking me over a year to get this to happen here in Ann Arbor where he does his heart transplant care. Dean David has been to the regular dentist but he needed a specialist to treat him and insurance didn’t want to cover it! I’m just beyond grateful that I was able to win another fight for my sweet boy and that his mouth isn’t going to be hurting him all of the time. Dean David was upset to be separated from me but they gave him something to help him relax. Dean David will be in the OR for 3 hours or more depending on what needs to be done to his teeth when they get in a full look at his mouth.
