We are taking donations of gently used homecoming and prom dresses to be re-sold. 👗💃🏽👘🥻Bring them by our office between August 18-29.

We are now offering vaccines at our office!!
We are excited to announce that we have partnered up with to provide vaccines for those with insurance.
The adult vaccines we are currently providing are for:
- Shingles
- HPV
- Pneumonia
- Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria & pertussis)
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- RSV

We are also planning on providing childhood vaccines soon! We will make an announcement when they are available. But until then, if you have questions about any of the childhood immunizations, we have pamphlets available in the office!

Contact us if you are interested, and we can help figure out if your insurance will cover any of these vaccines!

Erika Cisneros has joined our practice as a new Medical Assistant!

Erika has worked as a medical assistant in the Brazos County for the past 18 years. 14 of those years were in pediatrics, specializing in vaccines and injection knowledge. She also has 4 year of experience in family health. With the length of time she has worked in the community, Erika has a wealth of knowledge and connections to local resources.

She is married to Jessie and has two kids.

Make sure to say hi and welcome Erika to Rooted Family Health when you see her in the office!

We are so excited to welcome Jessica Dundas, FNP to the Rooted Family Health team!

Jessica graduated with her undergraduate degree in 2007 from Lamar University. From there she went on to take care of newborns, new moms, and their families. When she moved to College Station with her husband in 2014, she continued to take care of moms and babies and obtained her Lactation Consultant certification. Becoming a Certified Lactation Consultant encouraged her to return to school once again to obtain her master’s degree. She attended University of Texas at Arlington, and did her clinical rotations in Bryan & College Station. Jessica finished her MSN in Nursing, graduating in December 2019, and obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner board certification.

Jessica’s experience as an FNP includes a mixture of family medicine, internal medicine, aesthetics, and home visits. She believes in having a meaningful patient-provider relationship can make a difference in patients health outcomes and looks forward to creating these relationships at Rooted Family Health.

She is married to Chase, an engineer, and they have two beautiful daughters. They enjoy family time, music, art, and traveling.

Jessica will be starting out performing wellness exams, so if you are needing an annual check up give us a call and book an appointment with her!

It’s that time of year again… We’re offering flu shots at our office this year! 💉 Anyone is welcome whether or not you’re a member with our practice, so tell your friends and family!
It will be $15 per person. Call to make an appointment, or come to one of our vaccine clinics on October 3rd, 10th and 17th from 9:00-12:00.

Did you know that we can perform a number of minor procedures in our office? Some of the services we offer include: wound repairs, biopsies, ultrasound, EKG, osteopathic manipulation, wart treatments, and minor joint injections (pictured here).

Give us a call or come to the office if you need something checked out, and potentially need one of these procedures!

We are excited to announce a new In-Person will be starting April 9th in Bryan/College Station. We will be meeting the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 12:15-1:15 pm at (2400 Broadmoor Dr, Suite A, Bryan, TX)

Various researchers have explored the impact of facilitated support groups on conditions including chronic pain. As far back as May, 1999, Subramaniam, et al, stated in their Journal of Pain and Symptom Management article:
"Participants reported significant benefits from participating...They had a significant increase in functional ability and activity...This study indicates that pain support groups can play a valuable role for people in pain, assisting with support and rehabilitation..."

Happy Holidays from our Rooted Family Health group! 🎄

This practice has been open for almost a year, and what an incredible year it’s been!

▫️Our model of Direct Primary Care has allowed us to put patients first with less interference from bureaucracies and insurance companies.  And our location puts us right in the middle of the Bryan medical center, making us easily accessible to much of the community.

▫️We moved into our amazing office space, where we have not only been able to offer full family health services, but also provide a space for our wellness workshops and a relaxing environment for our patients to enjoy and learn.

▫️Our team has also grown this year! Dr. Amy Harrell and Nurse Nancy have already been so great in helping us provide more enhanced care in women’s health and providing our patients with quality care.

We are thankful for this past year of learning and grown, and looking forward to another year of serving our patients and community! We hope that your holiday season and new year brings joy and peace to you and your family!
