NAMI Brazos Valley

NAMI Brazos Valley NAMI Brazos Valley is dedicated to helping persons whose lives are affected by mental illness through education, support and advocacy in the Brazos Valley.

NAMI Brazos Valley supports individuals with mental illness and their loved ones through support, education, and advocacy, primarily serving Brazos, Burleson, Robertson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, and Washington Counties in Texas. Our programs equip individuals and families with skills for crisis and recovery, providing crucial information to help prevent and address mental health challenges. We work to combat stigma and promote understanding through public events and collaborations with schools, officials, and media. Together with our community, we celebrate recovery, honor those lost to mental illness, and advocate for awareness, support, and change.

Today, we pause to remember the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and the millions of others who also lost their lives, among them people with mental illness and disabilities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and others who were targeted.

This day calls on us to confront the truth, honor survivors, and learn from history. The trauma of the Holocaust continues to reverberate across generations, underscoring the importance of mental health, healing, and standing against hatred in all its forms.

At NAMI, we recognize that remembrance is not only about looking back, but also about building a future grounded in compassion, equity, and care.

Manufacturing environments are built on teamwork — and safety depends on looking out for one another, on and off the floor.

Long shifts, physical demands, and high-pressure schedules can take a real toll on mental well-being — and mental health belongs in everyday safety conversations. Through our partnership with The Hartford NAMI developed Toolbox Talks for Manufacturing — short, practical guides designed to help employers and crews integrate mental health into existing safety practices.

These resources reflect our shared commitment to creating safer, healthier workplaces by equipping teams with tools to recognize challenges, support one another, and respond during moments that matter.
