The embalming process is not required by law. Most funeral home require embalming in order to have a public viewing. If your family chooses a direct burial or cremation with no public viewing embalming is not necessary.

We are extremely excited to announce the opening of our third location. Trevino-Smith Funeral Home & Crematory of Madisonville. Since February of this year we have been busy getting the building furnished and assembled to our liking. We will be having a ribbon cutting in the near future and will absolutely invite anyone that would want to join us in celebrating our newest way to serve our community. With over 30 years of experience in the funeral industry it was only right that we own our own crematory and our new location has made that dream a reality. We will have more pics to come in the near future, but here is a sneak peek.
