Meet the Team: Ray and Laurie Griggs

Ray Griggs was born in Albuquerque, NM, raised in Temple, TX, and graduated from Temple High School. He graduated from Texas A&M University with BS (class of ’81) and ME degrees in Agricultural Engineering. Ray has worked in the oil field with Halliburton, in natural resource protection with Texas A&M, alternative energy with BP and new startup businesses. Most recently he has worked in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection with energy and transportation companies. Ray enjoys gardening, hunting, fishing, and traveling.

Laurie is a native Texan. She was born and raised in northwest Houston and graduated from Spring Woods High School. After graduating from Texas A&M University (class of ’85) with a degree in Health Education, she worked 20+ years as a Patient Educator with Baylor Scott & White Clinic. Laurie loves to do yard work, abstract painting, calligraphy, and travel.

Ray and Laurie know firsthand how difficult it can be to juggle caring for a loved one, working full time and raising a family. After Ray’s mother had a stroke, they were her primary caregivers with Ray’s brother for over 6 years.

Ray and Laurie have a passion for serving others and want to make a difference locally. They are committed to the Senior Helpers mission of ensuring a better quality of life for the senior community and peace of mind for their families by providing dependable and affordable in-home care. One of our company’s goals is to raise awareness in and around the community about the home care options for seniors to age at home, strategically complimenting other existing parts of senior health care.
