In medieval Europe it was used for religious rites and as a flavouring. Cinnamon was used by the Chinese to purify the temples. Traditionally, cinnamon was also used to promote dental hygiene.Later it was the most profitable spice in the Dutch East India Company trade.🌱

🌿It contains plant compounds with protective antioxidant properties, has anti-inflammatory effects, appears to be useful in defending against infection, may help regulate blood sugar, lower cholesterol levels, and contains compounds that appear to slow conditions like Alzheimer’s🌿
🌟Consistent consumption of cinnamon may reduce blood pressure, may be protective against colds and flu, may help restore the balance of bacteria in the gut therefore supporting good digestive health, and could help reduce the risk of insulin resistance.
