Merry Christmas Howdy’s Friends and Family!
We need a Christmas miracle this holiday season, and y'all are the only ones who can help. Local businesses are dying all around the BCS market. Here at Howdy's, we are not immune to this effect and we are one of the businesses struggling badly. Like so many around us, we will not be able to stay open without frequent and repeating local support.
We don’t want to close. We have worked our guts out for over four years and bled to give birth to the Texas Style Pizza y’all have named “Best Pizza” over and over again these last several years. Like Lockhart and Elgin are the birthplaces of Central Texas BBQ, we've worked to make BCS the birthplace of Texas Style PIzza.
But, something strange has been happening, the business has dropped more than 50% since the summer. When typically, after summer things pick back up again when the students return. We've seen the exact opposite this year.
I wish that was unique to us, but it’s true for a vast majority of the local restaurant owners we speak to on the regular. If it continues much longer, all of the wonderful unique restaurant scene in College Station and Bryan will be gone. All that will be left is big corporate national chains and a whole lot of empty commercial restaurant spaces.
