Chosen210-Bryan

Chosen210-Bryan Chosen is a faith-based non-profit that redistributes durable medical equipment in the Brazos Valley Our ministry is founded upon Ephesians 2:10.

Chosen has been serving communities since 1969, but we’re just getting started here in the Brazos Valley! Launched two years ago, our local family is honored to carry forward that legacy right here at home. This scripture speaks volumes about the purpose behind what we do. Chosen ministry is one of those "good works" that God has prepared in advance - not only for us to serve but for others to be blessed. It's not just a practical service; it's a divine assignment for each of us are His handiwork. Every time a piece of equipment is provided to someone in need, it fulfills that purpose.

Mrs. F reached out to us after being recently diagnosed with colon cancer. Along with the weight of her diagnosis, she’s been facing the financial strain of purchasing incontinence supplies and covering other basic needs.

I had the privilege of sitting and visiting with Mrs. F because she wasn’t strong enough to get out and about. As I dropped off the items she needed, she shared her story — years spent as a nurse, then a caregiver — always the one offering comfort and strength to others. And now, she finds herself in a season of needing care.

She spoke honestly about her fears and asked if we would add her to our prayer list. Instead, we did something even better. Right there, I wrapped my arms around her — the way God wraps His arms around us when we open our hearts — and we covered her in prayer and love in that very moment.

Through tears, she said it was one of the best things that has happened to her in a long time.

Givers deserve to be receivers, too. And I’m not sure who received more in that moment — her or me.

We all need to be reminded:
We are loved.
We are seen.
We are not alone.

Bryan/College Station, Erie, and Valladolid are all connected in this good work. And we think that’s alright, alright, alright* Drop a 🙏🌎 in the comments if you’ll join us in praying for the visiting team in 🇲🇽 this upcoming week.

*credit to Kacie for thinking of this iconic McConaughey line to unite us* 😂

Why do we do mission trips in Mexico?
We don’t live by chance. We are called into good works, with Christ at the center—works God prepared in advance for us to do.

This new Chosen lotería design tells that story visually. The cards reflect the assistive devices we distribute every day, and at the center is Jesús — El Amor. Because love isn’t abstract here; it’s practical, planned, and personal.

Through Chosen’s network of local pastors, durable medical equipment is distributed, and visiting teams help improve homes and churches so families can move with dignity and gather with ease.

Drop a 🙏🌎 in the comments if you’ll be praying for the team from Findley Lake Church flying down on Saturday. One project this week includes building a ramp for a young father who uses a wheelchair—improving access to his home and helping his family get to church more easily.

Jesus is Love. That’s why we serve the One.

¡Lotería!

This is our life verse as a ministry.

A reminder that every person is God’s handiwork, and every good work we step into was prepared long before us.

We’re grateful to say yes to what He’s already set in motion.

Thank you for being part of this story with us.

Equipped for Good Works exists because need doesn’t wait.
Chosen serves everyone—the insured, underinsured, and uninsured.
No forms to qualify. No boxes to check. Just help, when it’s needed most.

When first responders and community partners work together, the gap gets smaller.
We’re grateful for our partnership with the Bryan Fire Department Community Paramedic Program—meeting people where they are and making sure access to durable medical equipment isn’t the missing piece.

If this kind of community care matters to you, consider giving $21 a month to help ensure this work can continue—meeting people where they are, when they need it most.
Together, we’re Equipped for Good Works. ❤️

02/01/2026

We launched Equipped for Good Works in December with a bold prayer: 500 givers forming a new foundation so that no neighbor in Erie, Pennsylvania or Bryan/College Station, Texas would go without the durable medical equipment they need.

Right now, we’re around 30.

And while it’s most likely we won’t reach 500 by February 10, what is clear is this: God is still building something solid. Foundations aren’t measured only by size—they’re measured by faithfulness.

So for the next 10 days, we’ll be posting content daily. If you like what we are doing-whether you can give or not-please consider sharing. We’re believing for 50 committed givers—50 people willing to stand in the gap, to say yes to showing up, to refuse to let hard seasons take this beautiful work from our communities.

Every piece of equipment given freely.
Every family met with dignity.
Every “yes” becoming part of something far bigger than a number.

This is how good works take root.
This is how foundations are formed.
And this is only the beginning.

EQUIPPED FOR GOOD WORKS IMPACT STORY 🙏

The other week, a family came back through our doors to return a wheelchair, a bedside commode, toilet rails, and incontinence supplies.

The reason was a tender one. The husband and father these items had served so faithfully passed away earlier this week.

For nearly a year, his wife had been coming in—quietly, faithfully—receiving the supplies that allowed her to care for him with dignity at home. As she returned the equipment, she shared just how much it meant to their family to have access to what they needed, exactly when they needed it. Her gratitude was deep and sincere.

Moments like this are sacred. They remind us that durable medical equipment isn’t just “equipment.” It’s peace of mind. It’s dignity. It’s the ability for families to focus on loving one another, rather than worrying about how they’ll get through the day.

This is why Equipped for Good Works exists—so that when families are walking through some of their hardest days, they aren’t walking alone. 🤍

EQUIPPED FOR GOOD WORKS UPDATE 📣| 27/500

Twenty-seven households have said yes.

That may sound small—until you imagine 27 people around a dinner table. A shared meal. Shared purpose. Real fellowship.

We’re looking ahead with hope to the day we celebrate 500/500. But today, we pause to honor what’s already been built. Foundations matter. Every seat at the table matters.

There’s still room at the table—would you like to be seated?

Equipped for Good Works. 500 households. $21/month. Equipment ready when it’s needed.

EQUIPPED FOR GOOD WORKS IMPACT STORY 🙏

“Tonight, after we had already closed, I locked up the building, got into my car, and reached for my hand sanitizer—only to realize it was empty. So I went back inside, shut the alarm off, and found another bottle.

While I was inside, a car pulled up. Two people got out, tried the locked door, and I heard one of them say, “That’s okay, we’ll come back after Christmas.” That’s when I realized they were there to get equipment.

I opened the door and asked how I could help. A gentleman came in with his caregiver and shared that he had been sent by a local allied health professional to get a four-wheel walker with a seat. We had one—and it was perfect. He kept saying how perfect it was.

They were so grateful and so excited that I was still there. The gentleman was moved to tears, repeating, “I can feel the Spirit moving in this place.” Even though they were willing to wait until after the Christmas holiday, they were overwhelmed with gratitude to leave with the equipment that night.

I told them I had already been on my way out and only came back in because I needed hand sanitizer. Moments like this are a reminder that God has a plan and a hand in so many things we don’t always recognize in the moment.”

Equipped for Good Works is equipment ready when it’s needed. 500 households. $21/month. Join the 500 today!
