The famous “Mystery Flavor” Dum Dum was created intentionally by Spangler Candy Company right here in Bryan, Ohio as a creative way to reduce waste during production 💙

When the machines switch from one flavor to the next, the candy in between naturally blends together—creating the Mystery Flavor we all know today! 🍭

Instead of stopping the machines and throwing that candy away, Spangler decided to turn it into something fun, unique, and iconic that people have loved guessing for years 😊

Some people even try to figure out which two flavors are mixed together!
