Our Ageless Adventure finished on Friday, wrapping up a fantastic celebration of National Assisted Living Week. Residents showcased their impressive knowledge on a range of topics, from languages and country flags to landmarks, tea, and cheeses. Residents who got all of the stamps on their passports for participating in the adventure all week have a chance to win a group trip to the Barn Restaurant and Buffet!

On Thursday, we traveled to Alaska and participated in an ice cube relay race, Alaskan trivia, and a movie with hot coco, and ice cream bars. We also shared some stories of traveling and pictures too!

On Day 3, our travels brought us to Hawaii, where we participated in coconut bowling, beach volleyball, and a movie night with mai tais, smokey links, smoked spam and fruit skewers. 🍍🌺😁

Our Tuesday excursion took us to Ohio, where we visited the Williams County Fair, engaged in Ohio trivia, recognized Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tunes, and enjoyed a movie with Buckeyes, milkshakes, and caramel apples! 😁🇺🇸🎡

Yesterday marked the beginning of our "Ageless Adventure" for Assisted Living Week, with day one dedicated to Mexico, and a fresh destination awaiting us each day. Residents started their day by painting personalized flower pots and taking home a plant, later enjoying a piñata, paired with chips and dip, churros, and margaritas in the afternoon. 🇲🇽😁🎉

🎉👏 Congratulations to Erin Elser! Not only is she chasing her dreams at BGSU, but she also shares her love and care with our residents here at Fountain Park. 💜 Erin, we are so proud of you – the best is yet to come! 🌟

The Chris and Mary Thaman Scholarship, for $1,500, was awarded to Erin Elser. This annual scholarship is given to any Williams County or Fairview High School graduate who has completed at least one year of post-secondary schooling following graduation, is employed to support their education, and is in good academic standing.

Erin attends Bowling Green State University, where she is studying Applied Health Science to become a physician's assistant. Outside of academics, she works full-time in the summer and part-time during the school year as a personal care aide at Fountain Park Assisted Living and Memory Care. Upon receiving her diploma, Erin plans to get her Master of Physician Assistant Studies, pending acceptance into the program, and wants to return to Northwest Ohio to work in healthcare.

Assisted Living residents enjoyed a game of BINGO today. Our memory care residents also met for their book club, having now completed two books and currently reading The Hatchet! 📖
