Let’s give a huge shoutout to our wonderful Lifecycle Lactation Team as we are in the middle of National Breastfeeding Month! 

Not only does our team of IBCLCs provide prenatal lactation education to all, they also provide consultations (billed to insurance), specialized pump/flange fitting consultations (also billed to insurance), support groups that are free and open to all, and we even partner with Mid-Atlantic Mothers’ Milk Bank (MAMMB) to ensure our local community has access to pasteurized donor human milk (PDHM) and a convenient option for local MAMMB approved donors to drop off their lifesaving milk. Our partnership with MAMMB fits beautifully with this year’s National Breastfeeding Month theme which is “Forward Together”. 

Let’s also shout out our incredible team of midwives, nurses, and NPs who encourage and support lactation throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, and beyond!

We loved having the Nurse-Family Partnership of Delaware County visit Lifecycle last week! 💜 They connect first-time parents with a nurse for support from pregnancy through the baby’s second birthday — such an incredible resource for families.

Extra special moment: our Nurse Manager Megan got to catch up with her former colleague Amy Martin, Director of the program. We love building strong connections with community partners who share our commitment to empowering families and improving health outcomes.

Baby #16000 is here! Yay! Happy Birth Day! This wonderful family welcomed their seventh baby this morning, and Lifecycle’s 16000th! This was the family’s third baby born here at The Birth Center, the second caught by our dear midwife, Advah! How absolutely delightful! Congratulations to all!

Lifecycle offices will be closed Thursday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. This means we will not have Postpartum Support Group in Bryn Mawr that day. We will be open again Friday, June 20th. As always, if you are in labor or have an urgent need, please page the midwife on call. The birth center is always open, of course!
