Synergy Sports & Corrective Massage/Synergy Functional Nutrition + Wellness

Synergy Sports & Corrective Massage/Synergy Functional Nutrition + Wellness We define sports and corrective treatment as a fusion of bodywork techniques, designed to alleviate symptoms of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.

Pain relief isn’t enough—we restore function by integrating corrective bodywork, MFR, craniosacral therapy, assisted stretching, and root-cause functional nutrition to address pain and dysfunction at the systems level and support long-term wellness. Our diverse staff has extensive direct experience with a multitude of injuries and illness including but not limited to migraine headaches; TMJ; rotat

or cuff injuries; tendonitis; digestive disorders; SI joint pain; ALS; stress fractures; and muscle sprains and strains. We focus our practice on the use of well-established and historically tested massage and bodywork modalities including but not limited to myofascial release; structural integration; trigger-point therapy; cross-fiber friction; stretching; and sports massage therapy. Our specialized and individualized treatment programs directly address the fascia and connective tissue, as well as the muscular and joint components of dysfunction. Along with direct treatment, we also review what factors may be affecting your function, and provide education, support and self-care techniques to improve your long-term well-being.

I’m excited to share that I’m now an Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) Certified Coach, in addition to my work as a Functional Nutrition Health Coach.

AIP can be a helpful tool for some people with autoimmune symptoms—but it’s not for everyone, and it’s not where I start.

As a former social worker, meeting people where they are has always been at the core of how I work.

I look at patterns, meet you where you are, and build things in phases so it actually fits into real life.

For some clients, that includes AIP. For others, we stay more foundational.

A big part of my work is also education—so you understand your body, not just follow a plan.

🌿 Therapeutic Massage Awareness Day

Massage isn’t just about relaxing—it’s about helping your body function better.

It supports:
• tension and pain relief
• better circulation
• nervous system recovery

Most people stay stuck in “go mode.”
Massage helps the body slow down so it can actually heal.

If your body feels tight, stressed, or run down—
it might need support, not more pushing.

🍋 + 💧 Starting your day with warm lemon water is a simple habit that can support hydration, gently wake up digestion, and help your body ease into the day.

This isn’t about doing something complicated. It’s about giving your system a calm, steady start so digestion and energy feel more predictable.

If lemon doesn’t feel good for you, plain warm water works just as well. The goal is consistency, not perfection.

Small habits like this are where real change begins.

🌿Richer meals can sometimes feel heavy — not just because of the food, but because digestion needs extra support.

Simple herbs like rosemary may help encourage healthy bile flow and liver function, which play important roles in fat digestion.

Try adding fresh rosemary to meals this week and notice how your body responds.

🍋 + 🌿 Feeling puffy or holding onto extra fluid?

Adding fresh parsley and lemon can support gentle fluid balance and the body’s natural drainage pathways by supporting lymph flow and kidney filtration.

Try squeezing lemon and adding chopped parsley to water, salads, or meals this week.

Small habits support the systems that help you feel lighter and more comfortable.

🌿 Zinc-Rich Protein Boosters

Most people think of zinc as a supplement, yet high-dose supplements can disrupt mineral balance. Getting zinc from whole foods is often safer, more balanced, and easier for the body to absorb and use.

Foods like oysters, pumpkin seeds, grass-fed beef, chickpeas, and other zinc-rich options help support:

✔ gut lining repair
✔ immune balance
✔ skin healing and clarity
✔ hormone and metabolic function
✔ tissue repair and recovery

If you rely on plant sources, pair them with vitamin-C foods like lemon, peppers, or greens to improve absorption.

🍍While most of us love pineapple for its sweetness, many don’t realize that the core contains a powerful enzyme called bromelain, which helps break down protein. Because the core is not sweet, most people prefer to cut it up and add it to a smoothie. About 1–2 tablespoons is enough. Avoid use if you are on anticoagulants, such as Coumadin.
