A recent human histologic study using S.M.A.R.T.® with Bio-Oss® and GEM 21® showed extensive new bone formation, maturing from woven to lamellar bone. Results demonstrated that Bio-Oss resorbs more quickly when combined with GEM 21, and is replaced by regenerated bone. Over time, the percentage of Bio-Oss decreases as new bone volume increases.

This study underscores the power of combining regenerative materials for predictable bone growth and long-term success in clinical practice.
