We are a Wilderness Medicine and Survival School based at the NOC in Bryson City, NC. We do WFA, WFR Your leading source for Wilderness Training!

SOLO offers Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder, Advanced Wilderness First Aid, and Wilderness EMT. SOLO Southeast is based at the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) near Bryson City, NC. Classes are taught regularly at the NOC, but SOLO Southeast can also come to you. Contact us today at 828-488-7243 to set up a class.

For many people, Wilderness First Aid is where confidence starts.
As you go farther into the backcountry or take on more responsibility for others, distance from help begins to change the skills required.

Our WFA to Advanced Wilderness First Aid Bridge Course builds on what you already know, without retaking the full four-day AWFA.The course dives deeper into core first aid topics, places greater emphasis on leadership and decision-making, and introduces new skills like litter packaging and traction splinting.
