SOLO offers Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder, Advanced Wilderness First Aid, and Wilderness EMT. SOLO Southeast is based at the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) near Bryson City, NC. For many people, Wilderness First Aid is where confidence starts.
As you go farther into the backcountry or take on more responsibility for others, distance from help begins to change the skills required.

Our WFA to Advanced Wilderness First Aid Bridge Course builds on what you already know, without retaking the full four-day AWFA.The course dives deeper into core first aid topics, places greater emphasis on leadership and decision-making, and introduces new skills like litter packaging and traction splinting.
