Woke up to the most beautiful blanket of white this morning. There’s something so calm and quiet about fresh snow. It’s like the world hit pause for a moment. The smell of bacon and fresh brewed coffee is drifting through the halls and our residents slowly stirring around the facility; stopping at every window to take in the magic.

It’s a snowy, peaceful morning here in beautiful Bryson City! The air is crisp; only the sounds of birds chirping and squirrels scampering across the fresh blanket of snow can be heard. The community is quiet, the coffee is brewing and the residents are slowly emerging from their restful slumbers. All is well!

Douglas Jerrold once said “If you tickle the earth with a hoe she laughs with a harvest.” Well, she wasn’t the only one laughing today! We had a blast at Darnell Farms! We shopped, ate several of their famous Dream Whips, played on the playground, and went on a hayride. They were so accommodating to our residents and Nate even charmed a couple of the ladies 😉
