1) Where was the Hemp grown? ✔️

2) Does the company provide lab analysis? ✔️
With the Cannabis industry being highly unregulated, companies can label their products however they want to. A lot of companies do not have the time, financial means, or resources to provide 3rd party testing. So, look for a company that can provide that documentation.
What do these lab reports test for:
- Heavy metal content - lead, arsenic, mercury.
- Pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, mold.
- Microbes (living organisms).
- Chemical solvents - PEGs (Polythlene Glycol), Propylene Glycol (PF). Stay away from these because they break down into carcinogenic aldehyde such as formaldehyde.

4) How is the oil extracted? ✔️
The industry standard for extraction method is CO2 (carbon dioxide). CO2 extraction is very expensive and requires a trained chemist. So, a lot of companies don’t have the resources for this extraction method. CO2 extraction preserves most cannabinoids and yields the highest quality and purity of oils.
Unsafe extraction methods use harmful solvents such as propane, hexane, pentane, and butane. These solvents leave unsafe residue that can effect immune functions and impede healing. Another reason 3rd party testing is important.
5) Does the company use whole plant extracts from high resin hemp? ✔️
A oil that comes from a full plant extract is going to be richer in cannabinoids and terpenes. The flower has the most resin containing cannabinoids, unlike the stem and hemp seed, containing very little cannabinoids.
You should be able to contact the company very easily and find a straight forward answer, if the whole plant is used or just aerial parts.
Most high resin hemp is grown domestically in the US. So, if a company gets their hemp shipped from overseas (bc their soil isn't tested), it is highly unlikely their oils contain the highest purity levels of CBD.
