❗️⚠️ SCAM ALERT: Fake Funeral Home Calls ⚠️❗️

It has come to our attention that a new phone scam is targeting our community. Scammers are posing as representatives from local funeral homes and asking for payments over the phone. 😡

🤚How the Scam Works:

1️⃣You receive a call from a number that may seem familiar or even spoofed to look like it's from the funeral home.
2️⃣ The caller claims that you owe money for services related to a recent funeral or burial and requests payment over the phone at that time

❌Do NOT Fall for It:
❌Do NOT share any personal or financial information over the phone.
❌Do NOT make any payments to anyone claiming to be from the funeral home without verifying the request.

✅ Always double-check the legitimacy of the call by calling the funeral home directly using their official contact information.

While funeral homes may accept payment over the phone, they will not call to solicit the payment nor demand a payment.

Please share this warning with your friends and family to ensure their safety.
