Our Prayer for today and the weekend.......'Lord God, help us to carry the blessings of prayer into our families' future. Let us also do our best and leave the rest to God. We lift up Freddie Martin, Nancy Sink, Larry and Louann DeHaven, Kathy Polniak, Larry Sloan, Brittany Stoots, Tammy Loan, Martha Williams Gore, Haddy Breeden, Rodger Linkenhoker, Yvonne Graham, and others that wish to remain nameless for healing, peace of mind, and soul. Let us pray for those families dealing with loss and the last responders helping them; for emergency workers; for our County and Country leaders that influence us; and for the victims and families of gun violence. Lord, let us keep our hearts and minds dedicated to serving You and our communities.' In Your Name we pray, Amen.

Our prayer for today and the weekend…….’Dear Lord, help us to begin today with hope, to feel Your love and know we are never alone. May we hold onto God's promises knowing that they will protect us from fear and lead us to joy. We lift up Larry DeHaven, Travis Smith, Sue Sweet, and Annette Greenwood for healing and peace of mind and soul. We pray for the victims and their families of the senseless mass shootings in our country. We pray for our Country and it’s leaders. Also for the families dealing with loss and for those who are out helping them. Lord, let us keep our eyes on You and to always give You all that we have in service to others. Our prayer for today.......'Lord, hold onto us as we go forward with faith in You. May we fill our minds and souls with your presence. We lift up Larry DeHaven, Travis Smith, Sue Sweet for healing and peace of mind and soul. We pray for our American Legion Riders Post 93 of Buchanan on Day 3 of the National ALR Legacy Ride from Alabama to Wisconsin. We pray for the victims and their families of the senseless mass shootings in our country. We pray for our Country and it’s leaders. Also for the families dealing with loss during the floods of Kentucky and Virginia and for the emergency crews out helping them. Lord, may Your healing touch flow through us like a living stream. Let us choose to bathe in these clear waters each day. We will keep our eyes on You and to always give You all that we have in service to others. And when we do rest, may we rest in your peace and love.’ In Your Name we pray, Amen.

We would like to invite you to donate to our drive to assist disaster victims through the Blessings Buckets of God's Pit Crew. We will be assembling these Blessing Buckets on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 around 230 pm. Please call Karen or Ed at 254-1304 for items needed or to volunteer to help. We promote God's Pit Crew because they get the items needed into the hands that need them. Giving them hope that they can go on. Thank You. Ray and Bobbi.

Teresa Downey Hart, 57, of Troutville, passed away on December 28, 2015. Teresa was born in Staunton, VA on November 4, 1958. She was a 1976 graduate of Fort Defiance High School and had resided in Troutville, VA for the past 30 years. Teresa, better known as “T” was many things to many people…
