One of the hardest parts of being a mom to a nonverbal autistic child is not knowing when something is wrong—until it’s urgent.

Today, Brennan was rushed into emergency surgery after a CT scan revealed a 10mm kidney stone. He couldn’t tell us where it hurt, just that something wasn’t right.

As a mom, it’s heartbreaking.
You watch your child suffer and wonder—how long has he been in pain?
This is the reality so many families like mine face.

Raising a nonverbal autistic child means constantly reading between the lines, advocating fiercely, and hoping you're catching the signs in time.

Please hold him in your prayers tonight.

This road is full of unseen battles.

Brennan’s Big Accomplishment

Yesterday was a huge milestone for Brenan — and as his mom, my heart could not be more full.

Brenan started equine therapy on the 12th of this month. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew he loved horses, but riding one? That’s a big, big leap of trust.

Every Saturday since then, he’s been working with the horses. And yesterday, something amazing happened. The teacher told us the kids would be riding the horses. My heart skipped a beat — Brennan had never even been on a horse before. I wasn’t sure if he would do it. I hoped maybe seeing the other kids would help him feel brave enough to try.

One by one, the other students climbed on.
Then it was Brenan’s turn.

And he did it.
He got on the horse — a little hesitant at first — but then, as they began walking, this huge grin lit up his whole face.
He trusted.
He felt safe.
And in that moment, watching him ride, I could hardly hold back my tears.

This boy has overcome so much. And to see him so full of pride, courage, and joy... it’s something I’ll never forget.

I share this because if you are a parent struggling with behavior challenges, trauma, or just tough seasons — please don't lose hope. Healing happens, trust is built, and moments like these remind us that every small step matters.

Brenan, you are my hero.

🎉 Happy Birthday to Me! 🎉

Today, I proudly celebrate 44 incredible years. When I look in the mirror, I see a strong, fearless woman with a soul that radiates beauty from the inside out. I see a woman who faced a hard start in life, powered through every challenge, and emerged stronger, wiser, and more resilient on the other side.

I see someone who cares deeply, loves fiercely, and does everything in her power to help others rise.

Here’s the truth: age is just a number—it doesn’t define your worth or limit your potential. What truly matters is your faith, your belief in yourself, and your determination to keep moving forward. These are the things that build patience, strength, and courage when life feels uncertain or scary.
