Employee of the Month🎉
Congratulations, Sharon B., you’ve been chosen as Employee of the Month for August--woo hoo! Sharon is currently the Shower Aide in our Assisted Living building, but she has previously worked as both a Caregiver and a Med-Aide. She enjoys and takes pride in helping the residents feel good about themselves as she helps them look their best each day; having the chance to talk with them while doing so is “icing on the cake.” Our residents love Sharon, because they know she cares and will always give them an honest answer when they have a question. As a Shower Aide, she has the unique opportunity to observe medical concerns/issues with her residents and can always be relied upon to inform our medical staff as needed so our folks receive the care they need.
Married to her husband, Paul, a cancer survivor, Sharon has six daughters, twenty grandchildren, and a cat. As if that’s not enough, she also has two great grandchildren on the way, a girl in September and a boy in October. Whew, we’re thinking Sharon may have a crazy, busy home life; fortunately, her family is very important to her, and she really does enjoy spending time with them. She also likes to go camping and putting jigsaw puzzles together when she needs some quiet time.
Sharon looks forward to retirement someday and is counting on taking her RV out on the road with her husband. She says she’s got four more years to work and then it will be high time to get out and enjoy a carefree life for a change. Sharon, we’ll enjoy you while we can, as long as you promise to send us a postcard once you head out on the open road, just so we’ll know you’re having fun😊
