Feeling sore after a massage? That’s normal! If you don’t receive massages regularly, your body isn’t use to having your muscles stretched and then released. The soreness can be your muscles relaxing after being tight for long periods of time. The soreness should never feel painful, but more like you just did a light workout. If during the massage you feel like the pressure is too much, please tell your massage therapist so they can adjust to your preference. We are here to help you unwind, ease pain and make you feel better than before the massage! Remember to drink plenty of water, do light stretching/short walk and RELAX. You don’t want to do any strenuous activity after a massage because it can cause your muscles to tighten back up and cause more stiffness and aches than before.
