Well, a 13 hour same day roadtrip to OPK… dodging storms.. little sleep… lots of caffeine but we are done!

Us vendors salvaged as much as we could before they decide to close the doors on us. Painted Tree was a wonderful concept and for the first year-ish I was there it was very profitable. Then they sold and things took a turn.

So instead of being upset I choose to be grateful. I have the ability to recover pretty quickly from lost sales… others do not. For many this was their livelihood. Their “my kids can finally play sports” money. Their “side hustle” or just their dream. Taken away from them with NO warning or compassion for how this would affect their lives.

Some will lose most of their inventory due to multiple locations around the country. Because that was the concept of Painted Tree! A place where you can showcase your items all over the country to sell to people you’d likely never reach.

So here we are. Home. Trying to wrap our heads around the last 48 hours. Trying to figure out our next move.

So I ask of this… I don’t have many followers but I have seen this trend going around and I’d like to jump on it.

No warning. Absolutely terrible. Headed up to Overland Park to retrieve my stuff and two others before they close the door on us.
