In the midst of loss, it can feel like the world as you know it is falling apart. In some ways it may actually be, but this pervasive view can make us feel isolated and overwhelmed. Take a moment and ask yourself, is this really a helpful way to view such a challenging time? Is this how God views our suffering?
In the depths of great sorrow, I know - everything can seem so bleak. The emotional toll of grief is huge, and it’s hard to see a way forward. It feels like nothing will ever be okay because your world has fundamentally changed. 🌧️
But does it feel this way 100% of the time? Are there no moments, however brief, where you find a glimmer of peace or a small spark of hope? If it's not true all the time, then maybe there's another way for you to start seeing this. I pray, God, give us hope and help us to see things as you see them.
Can you imagine, instead of seeing the whole world as crumbling, we start recognizing God’s hand in a reshaping - of clay and dust and the high pressure it takes to make a diamond.. Life is, indeed, different now, but different doesn’t mean forever worse. God gives and takes away, and this change can bring a new kind of beauty to your soul and a strength and resilience you might just barely start to imagine. This is a chance to rebuild with the support and love that still surrounds you. I pray, peace.. ✨
Preferring to believe that everything, in fact, is falling apart, you risk getting stuck in a cycle of despair, and this inertia can prevent you from healing and finding joy in life again. Loss, though painful, provides a beautiful opportunity to grow in God’s grace and to find purpose and transformation.
Ask yourself: do you want to keep operating under the belief that the world is falling apart? Or would you consider a lighter, brighter, and more Godly perspective that allows for healing and hope?
