Some days Nicole and I accidentally wear the same outfit for school pick up 🤣

Quick up date on what’s going on around here!

Caitlin will be out of town starting Thursday march 23 for spring break. She will not be available for placentas until the first week of April. However books are open for placenta encapsulation spots from the first week of April through august. Feel free to reach out with any questions💗

Nicole will be out of town the last week of March also for spring break! The Tuesday lactation meet up will still be happening on the 28th.

The placenta truly is an amazing organ. Attached to the wall of the uterus and connected to the baby by the umbilical cord the placenta is the life support for your growing fetus. Not only does it provide nutrients and oxygen the placenta also removes harmful waste and carbon dioxide from the baby. It also produces the hormones that help your baby grow.
After the birth of your baby the placenta is also birthed with a few (less intense) contractions.
Most often the placenta is then disposed of in the trash. However the placenta can be used after birth to aid in the postpartum healing.
From increased milk supply to balancing out hormones the placenta is a great tool to have after birth. The easiest way to get these benefits after birth is placenta encapsulation.

Happy fall friends! After a crazy summer full of unexpected events and alpine starts Nicole and I have decided to change up our offerings.
As of now we will not be taking birth clients. There are a few awesome birth doulas in the valley and we are happy to get you touch with them 💗

For us we are wanting to focus more on a couple specific services for our community.

Nicole is not only leading The Lactation Connection in Buena vista the 2nd and 4th Wed at 9am every month, she is also offering private lactation consultations on a sliding scale.

Caitlin is still offering placenta encapsulation in the Chaffee, Park, and Summit regions.

Hello all! Just want to do a quick update.
Due to some circumstances we aren’t able to take on any birth clients until further notice. However, we are still taking on lactation clients (Nicole) and placenta clients (Caitlin.) And we will be able to take on postpartum this fall.
I (Nicole) also help run a lactation support group that meets twice a month in Buena Vista. Feel free to message us with any questions.
