Scientists have new evidence that suggests that THC inhibits the formation of amyloid plaques by blocking the enzyme in the brain that produces them. Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's are caused by the poor formation of those proteins in the brain.

The DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) reveals that no deaths or overdoses have ever happened with cannabis. In fact, DEA Judge Francis Young found a user would have to consume 20,000 to 40,000 times the amount of what’s contained in one ma*****na cigarette to reach lethal levels. That equates to 1500 pounds in 15 minutes. The carbon monoxide would kill you before the cannabis would. *****na *****na

It usually takes the average person about 90 days to ingest the full 60 gram or 60 ml oil treatment. I suggest that people start with three doses per day, about the size of a half a grain of short grained dry rice. The patient should take this dosage every 8 hours, early in the morning, then again in the afternoon and then they should take their final dose of the day, about an hour before bedtime.

Parkinson's Disease is a neurodegenerative disease of the brain. Parkinson's is a progressive disease and tends to worsen over time. In a healthy brain, brain cells produce a chemical called dopamine. Dopamine is responsible for relaying messages within the brain that control movement in the human body. Cannabis contains more than 60 different compounds referred to as cannabinoids. Our body naturally make our own cannabinoids that bind to receptors found in the body and brain, called the endocannabinoid system. When these cannabinoids bind to receptors, they can impact brain chemicals, including dopamine, which decreases in Parkinson's. One area of the brain that contains a high number of these receptors is the basal ganglia - the complex of cells that control movement and is affected by Parkinson's. Cannabinoids in ma*****na work in the same ways as cannabinoids made by our own body, providing antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties. Many Parkinson's patients have relayed anecdotal evidence that cannabis has a positive, improved impact on their Parkinson's related motor symptoms. - Journal of Psychopharmacology *****na411 *****na

THC has been proven to have a number of positive effects on brain cells. Whereas most recreational drugs are neurotoxic, THC is considered a "neuroprotectant" meaning it can protect brain cells from damage caused by things like inflammation and oxidative stress. What's more, scientists have shown that THC can promote the growth of new brain cells through a process known as neurogenesis. This effect was first discovered in 2005 by researchers at the University of Saskatchewan. The study's lead author, Dr Xia Zheng, noted: "Most 'drugs of abuse' suppress neurogenesis. Only ma*****na promotes neurogenesis." *****na411 *****na

Dr Sanjay Gupta was not always a supporter of medical ma*****na. In fact, Dr Gupta stated "I mistakenly believed the Drug Enforcement Agency when they listed ma*****na as a Schedule 1 substance because of sound scientific proof. Surely, they must have quality reasoning as to why ma*****na is in the category of the most dangerous drugs that have 'no accepted medicinal use and a high potential for abuse. They didn't have the science to support that claim and I now know that when it comes to ma*****na neither of those things are true. It doesn't have a high potential for abuse and there are very legitimate medical applications. In fact, sometimes the only thing that works." -Dr Sanjay Gupta *****na *****na411
