PHILOSOPHY
My treatments are rooted in the philosophies and strategies of Chinese Medicine, with a strong emphasis on body, mind, and spirit. The body has an amazing natural ability to heal and with the proper guidance your body, will heal. ABOUT MEGAN KING
I have been practicing Chinese Medicine for 11 years and am a Licensed Acupuncturist in Colorado and Nationally Board Certified with a Diplo
mate in Acupuncture and a Diplomate in Chinese Herbs. My Masters degree was earned at the Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Through acupuncture, herbs, and other healing modalities (moxabustion, fire cupping, auricular, food therapy, Tui Na/ Chinese massage, and lifestyle management), I treat the mind, body, and spirit. My practice stems from the deep desire to help people live healthy, happy lives. Currently, my practice is focused on, but not limited to, pain relief, sport injuries, womenโs health, digestive disorders, emotional imbalances, and insomnia. I have clinical experience working in multiple integrative medical settings, including Abbott Northwestern Hospital/ Joint Replacement Center, In-patient Rehabilitation Center for traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries and strokes, HIV Aliveness Project Clinic, a free clinic treating people with chemical dependency and chronic health issues such as, diabetes, high blood pressure, and depression. Growing up in the Midwest, I earned my undergraduate degree in Art Education, teaching elementary and middle school art for six years in Wisconsin and Western Colorado. Although I loved my teaching experiences, I felt a strong calling to connect others to a more fulfilling and healthy life by pursuing an education in Chinese Medicine. My current private practice, GaiaTree Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, is located at the Buffalo Peaks Center Suite 5 in Buena Vista, Colorado.
