Are long days at work causing your eye irritation or discomfort?

🤔 Maybe not. While eye strain can contribute to dry eye disease, the most common cause is meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD). MGD happens when the glands around your eyelids become blocked or don't produce enough oil to keep eyes hydrated.
Even though MGD is common, many people don’t realize they have it. Regular eye exams can help diagnose and treat MGD.

It goes without saying that screens are a huge part of our lives. Whether you’re working from home, reading an online article, or scrolling your IG feed, your eyes could probably use a break.
To help alleviate digital eye strain, practice the 20–20–20 rule: After every 20 minutes spent looking at a screen, take a 20-second break to look at something about 20 feet away. Your eyes will thank you for it!
