The Veterans Assistance Commission of Cook County is proud to highlight National Women Veterans United (NWVU) as they celebrate their 21st Anniversary & Women’s History Month Tribute! 🌟
This special event honors recognition, reflection, and resilience — and will feature keynote speaker Retired U.S. Army Specialist Shoshana Johnson, the first Black female Prisoner of War in U.S. history. Her powerful story of courage and service continues to inspire generations of Veterans.
