Microneedling is safe when done correctly - but the wrong products or devices can cause serious reactions.

A published case report showed a patient developed granulomatous dermatitis (months of inflammation and scarring) after microneedling with Vitamin-C and tinted sunscreen applied immediately after treatment.

The issue? Microneedling opens thousands of micro-channels. If non-sterile or reactive products enter the skin, or if cheap needles contain nickel, the immune system can trigger a severe reaction.
