Did you know that fentanyl and xylazine test strips can expire? Expired strips may not provide accurate results, so it’s important to check the expiration date regularly. If your strips are expired and you live in New York State, you can order new ones for free on our website.

Winter has arrived in New York State, and so has the cold!

Last week, our Harm Reduction Manager joined the News 4 WIVB Buffalo Team to highlight how , a life-saving medication for reversing opioid overdoses, remains effective even in cold temperatures. Although naloxone can freeze, it is easy to defrost and still effective to use during an overdose.

However, it is always best to use new naloxone if the medication has been stored outside the manufacturer’s recommendations. Order free naloxone on our website: mattersnetwork.org
