As part of the global force behind Lions Clubs International, our members don’t just support causes—they build them. From idea to ex*****on, Lions create and lead service projects that solve real local challenges.

Never knew Lions Clubs were that old!

In case you’re wondering, the boat is full of two Past International Presidents, law enforcement, a judge and Past International Director, executive administrators, an awarded officer and veteran, a optometrist and photo and media producer, a Lions world traveling volunteer, all of whom are well-known New York State Lions.

Archivists have unearthed a long-lost painting depicting one of the lesser-known chapters of Lions history — the very first time the LionsofNewYorkState and the Lions Clubs of Bermuda crossed the Potomac River together, over 250 years ago, en route to their annual NYS & Bermuda Multiple District Convention in Syracuse.
Historians note the striking resemblance between the figures in this vessel and certain Lions who appear at conventions every single year. Coincidence? We think not.

History, it seems, is repeating itself — because this year's convention is happening April 17–19 in Syracuse, and if you're checking in on Thursday, there's a welcome party and social to kick things off right.

🦁 So tell us… does anyone in this painting look familiar?

The Lockport City School District honored outstanding women from the community during its third annual Women Who Roar Awards ceremony. The event was held at Lockport High School in recognition of Women's History Month.

Lion Becky Burns, a longtime member and past president of the Lockport Lions Club - and its first female member was honored at the event. We are all very proud of Becky and extremely grateful for her contributions to the Lions and the Lockport community!
