Water, we love you.
We thank you.
We respect you.
I humbly did my best to sing this Nibi (Water) song today to the water at Chestnut Ridge, that has been gifted to us all by Beatrice Menase Kwe Jackson to help heal our connection to the waters. The waters are the record keepers of all that has ever happened and will happen: the waters within us, and the waters of our beautiful Mother.
As my sweet dog and I tucked beneath the shade of these gorgeous spruce elders and greeted them, I felt magic ripple along my skin, and heard their greeting in return
On this earth day, we share our profound love of our Mother. The next time you take a drink of water, can you join me and pause and give thanks, and share your love and respect? Breathe your prayers into the water and then drink and be that prayer.
When you walk by a tree, can you pause and say hello, the way you would to a passing grandmother or grandfather? Then bring that elder's wisdom with you as you walk through your day.
Each small act of reverence and connection helps to bring us into balance with our incredible and generous mother, teaching us how to care for her and bring healing to her, as well as to our own soul.
💜 Megan
