Storm prep may be taking over Western New York, but there’s another kind of prep taking over Sisters - TWIN prep!

Our incredible Labor and Delivery teams helped deliver not one, not two, but FOUR sets of twins just this week alone - including Ember and Ella, who made their debut earlier today!

There is so much work behind-the-scenes that goes into supporting moms when they deliver, and when multiples are on the horizon, that work doubles - making their care a true collaboration. We are so grateful for our L&D nurses and providers who make these journeys seamless and who work hard to earn the trust of so many moms who walk through our doors.

Happy Birthday Ember and Ella! 🎉

If you've delivered at Sisters and required an anesthesiologist, there's a good chance you've met Dr. Xiaohong Fang. She is a beloved member of our hospital - just ask our Labor and Delivery team.

💙"Frequently needing to be in two places at once, Dr. Fang takes our requests for epidurals, emergency c-sections, and difficult IV sticks with grace. She always arrives on the unit with a smile on her face and greets each of us with kindness. Our patients who are often in exquisite pain and need epidurals are met with a calm and patient provider in Dr. Fang. The phrase 'We don't deserve Dr. Fang' can often be heard on our unit."

💙"Dr. Fang is always willing to unconditionally give our patients the care and kindness that they need - despite time of night or how busy the unit is. On many nights, we need to call Dr. Fang and she is always kind and happy to help our patients despite lack of sleep or time to herself."

Selfless. Calm. Compassionate. Dr. Fang is someone you want on your team, and we're so grateful she's on ours. Please join us in celebrating her as our latest Catholic Health Living Our Values Effectively (L.O.V.E) Award winner!

ICYMI - Flu cases are rising locally and statewide, putting significant strain on hospitals and ambulance services. Director of Infectious Disease and Prevention, Kevin Shiley recently sat down with Michael Wooten WKBW to discuss this year's flu season and when it's necessary to go to the ER.

ℹ️‼️ For common illnesses like colds, flu, and minor injuries, consider primary care, urgent care, or telehealth. Choosing the right care helps emergency teams focus on critical patients.

The Pitt may have won big at the Golden Globes last night, but here in Buffalo, our real-life Emergency Departments deserve the true spotlight. With a severe flu season in full swing, our teams see it all and still find a way to provide thoughtful, compassionate care.

Dr. John Santillo works in our St. Joseph Campus ED, and he's exactly the type of person you'd want by your side in a crisis. Recently, a patient wrote us a letter about her care, and said Dr. Santillo's patience made her feel safe and understood in what was an otherwise stressful and frightening experience. She said he turned a scary moment into one full of hope and support, and that she will always remember him for his kindness.

Now more than ever, we need more people like Dr. Santillo. Please join us in celebrating him as one of Catholic Health's Living Our Values Effectively (L.O.V.E.) award recipients!

Like so many watching, we were happy to see Josh Allen was cleared after a concussion evaluation on the field during today’s big win over the Jaguars. 🏈🧠

While this news is a relief to fans, concussions remain a common, and often invisible, part of football. Even mild injuries deserve proper care to support full brain recovery. 💙

Dr. Minsoo Kang, board‑certified neurologist and headache specialist, shares expert guidance for families and young athletes.

🏈 LET’S GO BUFFALO! 🏈 The Bills are headed to the playoffs and fans are ready to show up loud and proud! 💙❤️

As we gather with friends and family to cheer on our team, let’s keep each other healthy, too. With flu season still upon us, following a few simple precautions can ensure everyone enjoys game day safely:

✅ Stay home if you’re feeling sick
✅ Wash hands often or use hand sanitizer
✅ Cover coughs and sneezes (even during those big touchdown moments!)
✅ Wear a mask if you are sick and need to go out

Together, we can celebrate responsibly and keep the focus on the win!
