Today, on National Funeral Director and Mortician Recognition Day, we would like to take a moment to recognize the dedication and commitment of funeral directors everywhere who serve families with compassion, professionalism, and respect.

Being a funeral director is not simply a profession—it is a responsibility and a calling. Each day we are entrusted with helping families navigate one of life’s most difficult moments, while honoring the lives, legacies, and memories of those who have passed.

Thank you to all of the families who’ve entrusted us as your local funeral home!

Donald C. Craiglow, 75, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, in the comfort of his home after a long battle with a chronic illness.

Donald was born on November 22, 1950, in Buffalo, New York, the son of the late James and Mildred Craiglow. He was raised in a loving household where values such as honesty and integrity were instilled from an early age. Don was a lifelong resident of West Seneca.

Don was a retired Deputy Officer with the Erie County Sheriffs Dept. His passion for fi****ms led him to own and operate one of the largest gun stores in Western New York, Craiglow’s Gun Shop. He had a deep love for craftsmanship, which showed in every project he took on - from building his own home to creating detailed LGB R&R railroad layouts.

He was well known for his sharp wit, mechanical skill, and his ability to fix just about anything. Don was also a motorcycle enthusiast and a proud member of the Harley Owners Group.

He will be remembered for his dedication, ingenuity, and the many things he built with his hands and heart.
Don is survived by his loving family and many friends who will miss him dearly. Relatives and friends may gather Thursday, March 19th , from 3-6PM, at LOOMIS, OFFERS & LOOMIS, INC. Robert J. Bryndle, 83, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, with his loving wife by his side. Born on April 25, 1942 in Buffalo, New York, Bob lived a full and meaningful life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a long-standing professional career.

After serving in the United States Army as a nurse, Bob went on to build a successful career as a Nurse Anesthetist at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. To this day, Bob is seen as a helper, as he has devoted the last several years of his life by his wife’s side, making sure she was well taken care of.

Bob is survived by his wife, Carol (née Reed), with whom he created a beautiful life of love and devotion. He is also survived by his 3 children Mark (Jess), Eric (Lauren), and Christine (Eric). Living both near and far, Bob always made sure the family stayed connected.

Being a grandfather was perhaps Bob’s favorite “job”. Devon, Haliey, Trevor, and Rylan always adored their Papa Bob. They will cherish the memories of the spontaneous shenanigans they shared with him during his most carefree days.

Outside of his professional life, Bob found great enjoyment in playing golf and tennis. He could
often be found on the local courses hitting his drives straight as a nail every single time. His crowning achievement was getting a hole-in-one at Cross Creek Resort back in 2007.

Bob will be deeply missed, but always remembered for the light he brought the lives around him.

Welcome March 🌿🌼🌷🌸
As we approach the spring season, I am preparing to begin my annual cemetery monument and headstone cleaning services.

Over time, natural weathering, biological growth, environmental conditions and our harsh winters can diminish the appearance and legibility of a memorial. My professional cleaning process is performed with the utmost care and respect, using methods that safely preserve the integrity of the stone while restoring its dignity and beauty.

I am now accepting requests to be placed on my early-season service list (as weather permits). Scheduling in advance ensures that your loved one’s memorial will be properly maintained and presented for the months ahead, including Memorial Day.

If you wish to have a monument or headstone included this season, please contact me to be added to our priority list.

It is my privilege to assist families in the continued care and preservation of their loved ones’ memorials!

Today we honor the courage, sacrifice, and legacy as we recognize the Climb to Glory Anniversary of the 10th Mountain Division. I was honored to participate in a 4 mile tribute ruck march held at Kissing Bridge with former members of the 10th Mountain Division alongside members of Kissing Bridge Ski Patrol to honor the 10th’s legacy on February 18, 1945.

Born in the harshest conditions and forged through determination, the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division showed the world what resilience, teamwork, and service truly mean. Their climb of Riva Ridge, Italy, which was once said could never be climbed, was more than a military victory—it was a testament to unwavering commitment and brotherhood. It was one of the biggest turning points of the Allied forces, breaking Germany’s biggest defense line.

We are humbled to serve those who have served our country. Today, we remember not only the history made on those mountains, but the men and women—past and present—whose sacrifices continue to shape our freedom.

To our veterans and their families: we see you, we honor you, and we thank you. 🇺🇸
