🕺✨ Themed Bingo Kicks Off at Brookhaven ✨🕺

Brookhaven is excited to introduce Themed Bingo as a new monthly program. Each month, bingo will match the facility-wide dress up day, adding an extra layer of fun and creativity to a favorite activity. This month’s theme was disco, complete with groovy lights and lots of smiles as residents and patients enjoyed a fun game together.

The facilities have been ranked in the First Quintile of the New York State Nursing Home Quality Initiative (NHQI) — placing us among the top-performing nursing facilities in the entire state!

What makes this achievement even more meaningful is that they were two of only 8 facilities in Erie County to earn a First Quintile distinction!! 👏

The New York State Department of Health conducts this annual quality and performance evaluation which recognizes excellence in quality, compliance, and efficiency of care for residents in Medicaid-certified nursing homes across the state.

With over 600 nursing homes across New York State eligible for NHQI evaluation, ranking in the First Quintile underscores Harris Hill's and Seneca’s extraordinary performance compared to peers statewide.

Brookhaven proudly celebrated the rollout of the new mission statement with a special event for staff. Administrator Alexandra LaMothe and Director of Activities Sabrina led the presentation, along with açaí bowls, t-shirt giveaways, prizes, and certificate awards for 12 staff members who represent the 12 guiding principles. A special bonus recognition was also given to the Living Legend award recipient, Serena from Dietary, who embodies all 12 principles. Congratulations to everyone who was recognized and celebrated.
