One of the ongoing misconceptions of acupuncture therapy as presented is as an alternative or last resort to conventional therapeutics. It is a stand alone modality for any and all common ailments including difficult diseases.
Also in certain states acupuncturists are primary care practitioners. Besides utilizing acupuncture for when you are ailing I recommend to my patients that they come in the fall and then in the spring for preventive sessions.
