Wild Thing in Sanskrit is Camatkarasana: the ecstatic unfolding of the enraptured heart. A back bending, heart opening, single-handed balancing pose, Wild Thing is also sometimes called Rock Star or Flip Dog.

How to flip your dog into Wild Thing: Begin in Downward Facing Dog with your palms firmly planted on the mat, extend your right leg up into 3-Legged Dog, bend the right knee opening the right hip, look through the space between your armpit and hip. As you gently lower the right foot, pivot your left foot, lift your right hand, and open your heart-center to the sky.

Benefits if Wild Thing:

Strength: It strengthens the arms, wrists, shoulders, back, and core.

Energizing: Wild Thing is a dynamic pose that boosts energy levels.

Spinal Mobility: The shape created in Wild Thing can improve spine mobility.
