Allwel Who we are and how we can help you provide care for your loved ones with Alzheimer's / dementia, chro (NFTBI). Family caregivers have things that come up.

Allwel, as an agency, was established in 2000, and for the following 14 years was known as New Frontiers in TBI, Inc. With the name New Frontiers, the agency exclusively served individuals with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) under the New York State Home & Community Based TBI Medicaid Waiver program. Over the following years, NFTBI began providing more and more home care services for persons with chronic disease, Alzheimer’s / dementia, and other disabilities requiring physical and supportive care. As a result of these cumulative changes, the name New Frontiers in TBI, Inc. was no longer felt to be representative of the agency we had become, and Allwel was chosen to more accurately reflect the expansion of our mission to provide the supports needed to help the people who need care get it where they want to stay…at home. Our Philosophy and Mission

Home care is done best when it is a partnership between the agency and the families being served. When each partner provides support when the unexpected arises, your loved one will always get the care they want. You have a life you’re actively leading. The care for the participant still needs to be provided. Our partnership will provide the immediate and on-going care needed so that can happen. Through collaboration, we will maintain a plan of care that centers on the rights of the person we are serving to live as independently as possible, and continue to live their life where they wish.

Today is the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery.

A powerful reminder that while the world has made progress, over 50 million people are still living in modern slavery — including forced labor, human trafficking, child exploitation, and forced marriage.

This day calls us to:

🔗 Raise awareness about ongoing systems of exploitation
🗣️ Advocate for stronger protections and survivor support
🤝 Stand in solidarity with those whose freedom is denied
💜 Commit to action so every person can live with dignity, safety, and autonomy

Slavery didn’t end — it simply changed forms.
And we all have a role in ending it, once and for all.

Today, we honor the incredible students, teachers, families, and support staff who make special education a powerful force for growth, inclusion, and possibility. 💙✨

Special Education Day celebrates the anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) — a landmark moment that ensured every child has the right to a free and appropriate education, no matter their unique needs.

💛 To the educators who go above and beyond…
💙 To the students who shine with resilience and brilliance…
💜 To the families who advocate with love…
💚 And to the communities working toward a more inclusive world…

Thank you. Your dedication creates opportunities, breaks barriers, and transforms lives every single day.

Let’s continue championing equity, accessibility, and inclusive education for all. 🌟

🌍❤️ Today We Honor World AIDS Day ❤️🌍

Every December 1st, the world comes together to raise awareness, fight stigma, support those living with HIV, and remember the millions of lives lost to AIDS-related illnesses.

🔴 Action—because the fight is not over

Let today be a reminder to educate, advocate, get tested, uplift one another, and keep pushing for a future where HIV/AIDS is no longer a global threat.

🧠✨ Happy World Philosophy Day! ✨🧠

Today we celebrate the thinkers, question-askers, deep-divers, and “but why though?” people who keep the world curious.

Philosophy reminds us to pause, reflect, challenge what we think we know, and see the world through new lenses. Whether it’s questioning the meaning of life, exploring ethics, or just trying to make sense of everyday choices — philosophy is everywhere.

Let’s honor the power of big ideas and even bigger conversations.

Stay curious, stay open, and keep asking questions. 💭
