Dear Friends, it's been a little over 2 years since I retired from Family Medical Pharmacy. I couldn't be happier with the service I have received from Mike Rossi RPh and Joe Rutowski RPh since I am now a patient at Family Medical. I have worked tirelessly volunteering for the betterment of the pharmacy profession for most of my career and now will soon retire from all my public obligations.
Independent community pharmacies like Family Medical have been the backbone of our local towns public health initiatives and continue to provide services big chains pharmacies are unwilling to provide. Did you know Family Medical was the first pharmacy in New York State to provide immunizations to the public !
They literally have gone to homes to provide vaccine immunizations to their elderly/sick patients free of charge. And, they still deliver prescriptions free of charge! Independent pharmacies suffer from low reimbursements from our health insurance companies yet they endure to provide public health services to our small, local and rural towns.
Recently they have provided unprecedented Covid testing to the public filling the void as our local government has been overwhelmed by the rush to test for Omicron! They have even gone out and found self testing kits for their patients who prefer private testing at home. Most big chains have run out of these kits yet Family Medical went to great lengths to find a source for these kits for their patients.
That being said, I have been greatly troubled and dismayed that someone has complained that they had to pay 24 dollars for a Covid testing kit at Family Medical. The services and products that Family Medical Pharmacy provides are invaluable and more than convenient to our small village and local Community of Williamsville. I am proud that Family Medical Pharmacy carries on the tradition of exemplary customer and patient services that are so hard to find in our society today! Thank you Mike, Joe, Lisa, Rachel and Dominic for your steadfast service and support of our public health initiatives.
Sincerely
Dennis C Galluzzo RPh
