"Growing up, my father taught me Black history. He has tons of books about our history. From Slavery to Tulsa... I learned at home. In school, all I had were three pages on the triangle slave trade. My dad taught me that there is so much more when it comes to our history. After minoring in African American Studies in college I learned about the African Diaspora... poets, writers, artists. Black History is American History. Teach it. Celebrate it. 365!!"

Celebrating 10 years in Private Practice 🎉🥂with the Grand Opening of my newest location: Miami Beach! There are now TWO LOCATIONS:
Buffalo, NY (AND) Miami Beach, FL 🌴🏖🌊

I am fully licensed in New York State and Florida.

What I've learned 5 years post Pandemic is that a lot of people utilize online. Every week about half of my caseload requests online. I'm more than happy to accommodate. What I've also seen is the weather during the winter continues to reach extremes leaving me sending messages and announcements on social media that we are online. I realized I don't have to be in one office all the time. I am not closing the Buffalo office. I still live and work in Buffalo. I love my office and I prefer to have a separation between my work and personal space for my own peace. I enjoy lighting my candles and seeing your faces at the practice. You have no idea how much you have impacted my life. I love ya'll bad as the young people say! Lol

But I also want to grow

Growth is really scary. Especially for people who live with Anxiety. Growth forces you to bend and break. It's tough. But it's even harder to stay planted in the same place. I live a nontraditional life... it's just me and my puppy. A lot of people travel for work. I don't see another path to scale my practice as a solo practitioner. Sessions will continue to be conducted both in person and online.

I've dedicated my life to my career. I've made many sacrifices. I don't regret anything. But it's finally time for me to start living. I'm afraid. I don't know what's on the other side. But I have to try. God told me that all I have to do is take one step. I hope that I can be an encouragement to you all. To follow your dreams.

I have been traveling to Miami Beach over the past 10 years. It has become my second home. The first time I traveled here, it was a time in my life where I needed to connect with myself. When I was a younger woman I thought I had to wait for a relationship to do the things I wanted to in my life.

God showed me that I was enough. That I've always been enough. And every time I come back here and the sun hits my skin I feel so renewed. I no longer want to visit...I want to bring my work here as well. I began seeing Florida clients last year. I have decided to provide an in person option for Miami Beach as well.

I'm tired of providers being told what they are worth. I know what God told me I'm worth. I'm worth it all.
