🚑 Leadership News from Buffalo EMS!!🚑

After 44 years as Director of Buffalo EMS, Dr. Dave Harness is passing the torch. On June 1, longtime team member Karri White will step into the role of Director.
Karri has been a trusted part of Buffalo EMS for 24 years - and now she’s taking the lead with deep experience, steady leadership, and a heart for service.

Dave Harness isn’t going anywhere - he’ll remain owner and full-time team member. But as he says, “Karri is more than ready, and I’m proud to support her as she guides Buffalo EMS into a strong future.”
Join us in thanking Dave for his decades of leadership - and welcoming Karri to her new role.

As EMS Week 2025 comes to a close, we take this moment to thank the dedicated professionals who embody this year’s theme: “We Care. For Everyone.”

Every day, EMS personnel respond with courage, skill, and compassion — no matter who needs help or where that call takes them. Their commitment to care without judgment, hesitation, or pause defines the very spirit of emergency medical services.

To all EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and support teams: thank you for showing up, for making a difference, and for reminding us what true service looks like. Your care reaches everyone — and this week, and every week, Buffalo EMS honors you.

Important message from our friends at Public Johnson County Public Health

Several states currently have reported measles outbreaks, and the number of reported cases is continuing to increase. Measles is an extremely contagious illness that can be prevented by the highly effective MMR vaccine.

If you plan to travel this spring break, make sure you and your family are protected against measles by getting your measles shot before venturing on your road trip or to the airport.

Staying home for spring break? It's not a bad idea to make sure you and your family are caught up on your measles shots as we will likely have an uptick in tourists from other states during that time.

For questions or to make an appointment, call Public Health at 307-684-2564.
