Say hi to Matt, the newest SLP to join our team at NSS! 👋

Matt comes to us with a strong background working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and he’s now diving headfirst into the world of neurogenic communication and cognitive disorders.

His clinical interests include dysphagia, stroke, TBI, aphasia, and all things cognition, but what really stands out is the way he shows up for his clients... with heart, energy, and a whole lot of belief in their potential.

When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll find him hiking with his dogs, lifting at the gym, or spending time with family and friends.

We’re so lucky to have him on board!

Meet Tiana! ✨

Tiana recently graduated with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University at Buffalo and is currently completing her clinical fellowship year at NSS.

During her graduate studies, Tiana identified a need for compassionate, patient-centered care for adults with communication challenges, which drives her dedication to helping them regain and enhance their communication abilities.

Professionally, Tiana is passionate about helping people get their voice back, particularly those with neurogenic disorders such as Parkinson’s disease.

She strives to integrate voice therapy with the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, TBI, and aphasia.

Tiana is dedicated to improving her patients' quality of life through functional, evidence-based therapy that empowers them to communicate more confidently and effectively.

The majority of our patients are seeking treatment due to brain injuries such as stroke, TBI, concussion, Long COVID, and progressive illnesses such as Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, dementia, and more.

MEET ALEAH! 🧠 ✨

Aleah recently received her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University at Buffalo and is currently completing her clinical fellowship.

During her graduate studies, Aleah recognized the local need for specialized services for adults with neurogenic disorders.

This made Neuro Speech Solutions the perfect place to start her career!

Professionally, she is most passionate about working with adults with complex communication needs.

Her clinical interests include neurodegenerative diseases, aphasia, TBI, and the use of AAC to supplement speech.

She believes in using multimodal communication to promote independence and participation, paired with functional therapy techniques, to improve her patient's quality of life.

WE ARE HIRING A FULL-TIME SLP!

Neuro Speech Solutions is an SLP-owned private practice that offers a unique opportunity to clinicians who are interested in specializing in adult neurological communication disorders. We are different than any outpatient clinic you’ve seen. Neuro Speech Solutions is dedicated to providing meaningful and functional services. Our philosophy is person-centered care over profit, so you will never be placed in ethical dilemmas. We want you to see clients for as long as you feel is needed. We want to provide you with the tools you need to do your job well. But most importantly, we love what we do and want you to feel the same way about your job!

Responsibilities
- Assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders related to stroke, traumatic brain injury, and neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease and dementia
- Daily documentation and progress reports
- Interdisciplinary communication with related professionals
- Caregiver and client education and support
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- New York State license in speech pathology (strong CF SLPs will be considered)
- Minimum of 1-year experience working with adult neurogenic population

Compensation & Benefits
- Salaried position
- Reasonable & sustainable productivity requirements (we won’t run you into the ground)
- PTO - Vacation & Sick Time
- Holidays off (New Years, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
- CEU stipend
- Materials budget with a work computer and iPad for therapy/documentation
- Paid NY state licensure fees

Our Story

Neuro Speech Solutions was born out of a niche need in the Buffalo area. While other speech-language pathology clinics treat all ages and disorders, we focus on neurological rehabilitation for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing. Additionally, Neuro Speech Solutions is a mobile clinic, meaning we bring the therapy right to your doorstep.

Katie Brown, the owner & SLP, has always been passionate about treating the adult and geriatric population. She is trained in a variety of specialized certifications and prides herself on providing the highest quality, functional therapy for all. Katie strives to make her therapy easily accessible and highly applicable to day to day life. Although she knows she is the “expert” in speech-language pathology, her clients are the experts on themselves. Therefore, client and caregiver collaboration is of the utmost importance!
