✨ What a night on the runway! ✨This weekend, members of our GiGi’s Playhouse Buffalo community proudly walked, danced, and performed in the AADMD UB Dental 2026 Fashion Show, and it was nothing short of incredible. 💙

Hosted by the American Academy of Developmental Dentistry and Medicine, this special event brought together joy, confidence, and inclusion, with proceeds benefiting GiGi’s Playhouse Buffalo. From runway struts to show-stopping performances, every moment was filled with celebration and support.

A huge thank you to the amazing students and organizers at UB Dental for creating such a meaningful and empowering evening, and to everyone who attended, cheered, and made this event so special.

As we come to the close of another incredible year at GiGi’s Playhouse Buffalo, our hearts are full. 💙 This year was made special because of you - our amazing individuals, families, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters who show up day after day with kindness, dedication, and belief in our mission.

Every smile shared, milestone celebrated, and connection made within our walls reminds us why GiGi’s exists: to create a welcoming, inclusive space where individuals with Down syndrome and their families can thrive, always at no cost to them.

Because of the generosity of our community, we are proud to offer free educational, therapeutic, and career-focused programs that support confidence, independence, and lifelong learning right here in Western New York.

Our Story

What started as a local playhouse in a suburb of Chicago has turned into an international phenomenon, spreading awareness and inspiration to everyone it touches. GiGi’s Playhouses are Down syndrome awareness and educational centers that provide resources, specialized teaching, and support to individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community.

GiGi’s Playhouse centers evolved into educational centers with a focus on national awareness for Down syndrome and achievement for individuals of all ages. All of our programs are free to our families and are therapeutic in nature. Each of them are designed to work on specific skill development in several areas including speech and language, social development, and fine and gross motor skills. Our literacy program alone teaches thousands of kids with Down syndrome to read around the nation! Our math program has proven to be as powerful as our literacy program with a 100% improvement rate in all kids tested!

GiGi’s is committed to the important mission of spreading positive and accurate information about Down syndrome through education. We know that by helping individuals with Down syndrome reach their highest potential, we can change outdated perceptions that people may have. The end result is a world that is empowered with knowledge, compassion, and inspiration – what a better place for all of us!
