How calories actually work for fat loss…
Less in =less out
Body fat is the life support to the body and essential so it wants to keep it at all costs. It is there for times of famine to keep you alive. Unfortunately, constant access to food and junk has left people sick, overweight and ruined true hunger signals. But feeding it less to lose fat is not the answer.
If you put less gas in your tank, you won’t go as far. The body is not going to fire on all systems if it starts getting less fuel. It adapts very quickly to you feeding it less. When you put less in, you get less out aka you lower the metabolism. Your hunger will eventually override your willpower as well.
I work with clients to prioritize nourishment not restriction and address the root cause of the body storing fat which is hormonal. If we lower insulin, the body is able to access body fat to burn it. When it is too high, it blocks fat burning. Other hormones like cortisol, leptin and melatonin all work with insulin and need to be balanced as well.
The body you want doesn’t come from restriction it comes from nourishment with the proper inputs. I know how the body works optimally and now I share that with my clients. It’s a whole body approach to optimal health and rarely a single solution.
