Yesterday, our Chautauqua I-Learn and Harlem Day Hab groups celebrated the 50th anniversary of Earth Day in a meaningful way! 🌎💚

The Chautauqua I-Learn group grabbed their gloves and trash bags and headed to Point Gratiot in Dunkirk, NY for a beach cleanup walk. Together, the group spent time picking up litter along the shoreline, doing their part to care for our environment and give back to our community.

Our Harlem Day Hab group visited Victory Garden in Buffalo, a local community garden, where they helped clean up the space and prepare it for the upcoming planting season! 🌱🌼

It was a great day filled with teamwork, fresh air, and purpose. Small actions can make a big difference and we’re proud to be part of that change! 🧡

Our Fellowship Day Hab group recently visited University at Buffalo to attend an anatomy lecture. The group arrived on campus curious and excited to learn something new!🧠

The lecture was engaging and thoughtfully delivered, with clear explanations and visual aids that made the material accessible to everyone. What truly stood out was the inclusive atmosphere created by the professor, who encouraged participation, welcomed questions, and adapted his teaching style to support a variety of learning needs.

Group members showed enthusiasm about what they learned and asked the university professor many questions about human anatomy. Everyone gained a deeper understanding of the human body throughout the lecture. 💪

This trip to University at Buffalo was not only a lecture but an opportunity for growth, discovery, and empowerment! 🧡

On a bright, breezy morning in Buffalo, the Gerard Day Hab group gathered with excitement and curiosity for more than just an outing. It was an imaginative, “Magic School Bus” inspired adventure. 🌞🚌

The day began with laughter as they boarded a brightly decorated bus designed to capture the playful spirit of the beloved classroom-on-wheels. For many, it was a chance to experience something new and out of the ordinary.

As the bus rolled through Buffalo’s historic streets, the group passed iconic landmarks, local parks, and scenic waterfront views while staff shared insights and music played in the background.

Inside the bus, the atmosphere made the journey truly special. Conversations sparked, friendships deepened, and moments of joy were shared, whether singing along to favorite songs or pointing out sights along the way. 🎼

By the time they returned, the group carried more than memories of the city. They shared a sense of connection, accomplishment, and happiness. In the end, the “Magic School Bus” ride was not just about the destination, but about experiencing it together! 🧡

More than 200 supporters filled Riff City Social on Thursday, March 26 for the inaugural Beyond Lip Sync Battle which turned out to be an unforgettable night of music, energy, and community that raised an incredible $42,000 in support of the Beyond Support Network Foundation.

The Chautauqua I-Learn group enjoyed a festive dinner filled with delicious food, fun games, engaging activities, and plenty of great company. The smiles and laughter made it such special day!

Meanwhile, the Harlem Day Hab group had an exciting visit from 𝐒𝐇𝐄-𝐃𝐑𝐔𝐌𝐒, bringing the spirit of the holiday to life with a lively, St. Patty’s Day-themed drum circle. The whole group joined the fun with drumming, dancing, and celebrating together!

Our Harlem and Fellowship Day Hab groups have been hard at work giving back to the community! 🧡

They’ve spent time cleaning a local daycare, packing treats for pups at Paws Inn The Falls Animal Complex 🐶, and getting classroom supplies ready for teachers to pick up. ✏️

The Chautauqua I-Learn group had a fantastic time at the Cattaraugus Community-Center pool! 🏊‍♀️💦

Everyone was SO happy to spend time swimming together, laughing, and enjoying the water. It was wonderful to see so many smiles while the group practiced their swimming and built confidence in the pool.

Swimming isn’t just fun, it’s also great exercise that helps build strength, coordination, and overall wellness! 💪🌊

A big thank you to the Cattaraugus Community-Center for welcoming our group and giving us such a great place to swim. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! 😊🧡

Creating authentic pathways to employment.

For individuals receiving services, authentic work experiences in real community workplaces are essential steps toward competitive, integrated employment. As an Employment First state, New York emphasizes the importance of ensuring individuals with developmental disabilities have opportunities to work, contribute, and succeed alongside others in their communities.

That’s exactly what is happening through the partnership between Diversified Labor Solutions, a division of Beyond Support Network and Sealing Devices Inc.

Through this collaboration, individuals supported by Beyond are gaining authentic, hands-on work experience in a real manufacturing environment. Our team provides on-site support while participants assist with kitting and assembly projects, building valuable workplace skills, confidence, and independence.

Community Prevocational Services launched this opportunity in December 2025, and it continues to grow. Today, six individuals participate daily with the support of staff.

Experiences like this are more than just a job for the day — they are pathways to future competitive employment.

At Beyond Support Network, we are proud to play a role in creating these opportunities and helping individuals take meaningful steps toward their employment goals. In fact, 97% of the individuals we support in employment services successfully achieve community-based job placements.

When strong community partners and authentic work experiences come together, individuals don’t just participate — they thrive.
