DID YOU KNOW?
Long-lasting infection with certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV) is the main cause of cervical cancer. If you are uninsured or underinsured call us to see if you qualify for a free cervical cancer screening, 716-858-7376

The most common sexually transmitted infection (STI) can be prevented by a vaccine. The HPV vaccine is safe, effective, and can help you avoid HPV-related health problems like ge***al warts and some cancers.

Who should get the HPV vaccine?
All boys and girls ages 11 to 12, but the vaccine can start at age 9.
Everyone through age 26 years, if not vaccinated already.

Why is the HPV vaccine recommended at aged 9-12?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGugqRSMA2s

Our Family Planning Center at the Jesse Nash Health Center (608 William Street in Buffalo) has the HPV vaccine. For this and other services, visit www.erie.gov/familyplanning
