Did you know - dentists can be orthodontists, but not all dentists are orthodontists

To become an orthodontist, you must go through four years of dental school to get the same degree as every dentist.
However, after dental school, if you want to specialize in orthodontics, you must attend an orthodontic residency program. Approximately only 5% of dentists are orthodontists.
