Today (8/4/25), our Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. CEO/Executive Director, Dr. LaVonne Ansari, PhD, joined Governor Kathy Hochul and other leaders in Western New York to speak out against federal cuts at a press conference held at SUNY Niagara.

“These cuts are more than just numbers on a spreadsheet. They are real choices with real consequences – deciding whether children can get their vaccinations to start school, whether an adult can afford to manage high blood pressure and diabetes, and whether a grandparent can keep seeing the doctor they trust.”

As National Health Center Week (August 3-9) begins, we are proud to stand strong with health centers across Western New York and the country to protect access to healthcare – now and for generations to come.

Thank you to Governor Hochul for her leadership and support and to our staff who attended the press conference.
