The Haden Institute (www.hadeninstitute.com) was founded in 1994 to educate participants about the transformational gifts of spirituality and Jungian psychology. Its offerings have evolved over the life of the Institute, but the formative belief that spirituality and Jungian principles are complementary on the transformational path to health, wholeness, spiritual maturity, and individuation remains.

Surja is a clinical hypnotherapist and holistic counselor who specializes in healing past trauma to access inner resources for positive change.

One of the primary processes she uses is Past Life Regression. Rather than read past lives, her method helps people access soul memories of past lives, held primarily in the deep subconscious mind. She believes it is more useful to access different types of past lives.

In her presentation about past lives, she will discuss retrieving gifts, talents or abilities that may have even been a theme in several lifetimes which is empowering and inspirational. Remembering past lives where trauma may have been present or karmic patterns in relationships is extremely helpful. She believes when these patterns or soul contracts can be witnessed and changed consciously, it removes obstacles and aligns the person more deeply with their soul’s purpose in the here and now.

Her presentation is inspiring and helps people discover, "We are all so much more than we have been taught to believe," she says.

"We are souls journeying through time and as we viscerally experience this through past life regression," she says, adding the importance of realizing "there is inner guidance connected with the light in everyone that makes it safe to journey into other lifetimes. The Psychiatrist Carl Jung himself believed memories from past lives could manifest in the Collective Unconscious and impact behavior in present time.

"Art and Awareness" by Ross Drago

“All energy in the universe is an expression of how it feels to be eternal awareness”

The primary theme of Ross's paintings and books is the relationship between Awareness and Energy. "All energy in the universe, including human beings, animals, plants, minerals, galaxies, and even all forces such as gravity, electricity, and light itself are all expressions of how it feels to be Eternal Awareness," he says.

Born in Buffalo, he credits his father who was active in the Buffalo arts community, for his artistic development.

"My father was an artist and an inventor who was well-known in Buffalo.

He was my first and greatest art teacher. Thanks to his generosity, I skipped crayons and coloring books and went straight into oils on stretched canvas as a boy. I learned to love beauty from him; and gained a love for people and writing from my mother."

Most of his adult life was spent in Berkeley, California, where he founded and directed the Energy Art Studio for 20 years.

"I made several permanent public art paintings and ceramic mural installations for Berkeley, Oakland, and the City of Palo Alto.

He and Surja, his partner of 38 years, relocated to Buffalo a couple years ago to be close to family. Surja is a clinical hypnotherapist and holistic counselor in private practice. She will be offering a presentation on Past Life Regression from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, June 22 in the Mission Room of Trinity Church.
