Seeing the growth of tiny seedlings sparked great excitement in our Pre-Vocational Services program students who helped to pot, water, and label seedlings at the offices of Grassroots Gardens. While digging in the dirt, the student talked about the variety of flowers and vegetables that they will be planting in our gardens at the Apartments at the Lyceum. This group will also water, w**d, and care for the garden all season long. One of the gardens they will care for will have flowers that can be dried and used for herbal teas.

They are excited to get growing!

We want to thank our Earth Day cleanup volunteers from Buffalo Lodging Associates, LLC for helping us get the gardens at the Lyceum ready for the season. They help prepare the garden beds by moving soil into newly raised beds, w**ding and planting flowers. They also helped our ground sparkle by cleaning up trash around the property and helping to beautify the space.

Thank you Buffalo Lodging for the hard work We're now officially ready for summer. Happy Earth Day!

We need people with skills in all kinds of fields including accounting, human resources, property and maintenance specialists, nurses, and more!

April is Stress Awareness Month- a time to recognize the impact stress can have on our overall well-being and the important role we play, as an agency, in helping the people we serve manage it.

Sensory rooms, like those in our Day Habilitation facilities, are one meaningful way we support stress reduction every day. Thoughtfully designed to promote calm and comfort, these spaces offer soft textures, gentle lighting, and soothing sounds that help regulate emotions, reduce anxiety, and create a sense of ease for the individuals we support.

By creating spaces like these, we continue to prioritize well-being and ensure every person we support has the tools to manage stress and thrive.

The Easter Bunny made a stop and posed for photos with the people at our Certified Day Habilitation Program during their Easter Extravaganza. People celebrated the holiday by coloring Easter-themed coloring pages, getting holiday temporary tattoos, and having their nails painted in bright spring colors. It was an “eggciting” good time for everyone.

We had an incredible time at the Black Achievers Inc. Awards, which celebrates and showcases the depth and excellence of achievements within WNY’s African American community. The evening was filled with powerful stories, well-deserved recognition, and a strong sense of pride and connection that made the celebration truly unforgettable.
